| Finished in 1749 (per inscription over doorway), this is the only remaining example of an early aristocratic Spanish home in Texas. Named a National Historic Landmark in 1970, the Palace is furnished with antiques and artifacts from the early 1700s. The National Geographic Society once called it “the most beautiful building in San Antonio”. Distinguishing features include period furnishings and a cobblestone patio with fountain and foliage. |
